When the insulated glass in your patio doors or windows break or the seal fails, allowing moisture into the interior of the insulated panel, not only is the insulating value of the unit destroyed, but the entire window.
We don’t do replacement windows, but if you have a quality window or one that is difficult or impossible to match, you’ll want to consider replacing just the glass. This approach maintains the original look of your windows, while at the same time restoring the clean, clear view you used to have.
We replace all glass including insulated, single pane, double pane, etc. We can also replace your glass with energy efficient Low-E glass.
What is Low-E Glass?
Low-emittance (Low-E) reflects UV rays from the sun. It has a clear metallic coating on the inside of the outside pane that provides year-round thermal protection. Low-E coating is transparent to visible light but significantly suppresses radiation.
This coating is better than tinted glass in the sense that it saves energy year-round. In the summer Low-E glass filters long-wave radiation, so it reflects the summer sun out, keeping your home cooler. In the winter Low-E glass lets warm solar rays into your home while blocking the heat in your home from getting out.
It also protects the interior of your home from bleaching. It’s a great solution for protecting your furniture, drapes and even floors from discoloring caused by the sun.
